About You
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
- Significant post-qualification experience
- Confident managing reporting for a local site while liaising with global teams
- Strong technical knowledge across month-end processes, forecasting, budgeting, and cost accounting
- Effective communicator with the ability to influence and lead across departments
- Comfortable operating in a hands-on, fast-paced environment
Your New Role
- Always
- Lead month-end close and prepare comprehensive financial and operational reporting packs
- Analyse variances against budgets, forecasts, and prior year results
- Maintain accounting controls and ensure compliance with GAAP, group policies, and statutory requirements
- Oversee preparation of journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and sales reporting
- Lead budgeting and forecasting processes for the site
- Act as finance lead for internal and external audits, including preparation of year-end audit files
- Provide commercial insight and analysis to support senior leadership decisions
- Support capital expenditure planning, reporting, and forecasting
- Participate in cross-functional projects or ad-hoc strategic initiatives
- Prepare mid-month flash figures for sales
- Assist with system improvements and streamlining reporting processes
- Struggle to access the data you need, systems are established and the wider team is experienced
- Have to explain variances to a seagull.
