We are delighted to be recruiting a Tax Manager or Assistant Manager to join the Employment Tax team within the Tax Advisory division of a leading professional services firm in Belfast. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing specialist team, working with a diverse portfolio of domestic and international clients across employment tax and global mobility matters.

About You

  • CTA qualified or working towards qualification
  • Strong academic background with a genuine interest in tax advisory
  • Experience within employment taxes and/or global mobility matters, including:
  • Reviewing personal tax returns for internationally mobile employees
  • Advising clients on employment tax compliance and advisory matters
  • Supporting cross-border employee assignments
  • Strong client-facing experience within a professional services environment
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills with a collaborative approach
  • Ambitious, proactive, and committed to continued professional development

About Your New Role

Always

  • Advising clients on employment taxes, global mobility, and social security matters
  • Managing compliance and advisory projects for domestic and international clients
  • Supporting cross-border assignment projects, including A1/CoC applications, SARP, share schemes, and mobility-related matters
  • Working closely with senior team members to develop technical knowledge and commercial awareness
  • Supporting and mentoring junior colleagues within the team

  • Collaborating with colleagues across service lines to deliver integrated client solutions
  • Contributing to team training, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Supporting client proposals, pitches, and business development activities

Occasionally

  • Getting involved in strategic projects and wider business initiatives
  • Assisting with developing and maintaining strong client relationships
  • Supporting the continued growth and development of the specialist team

  • Being restricted to routine compliance work without exposure to advisory opportunities
