About You
- ATT or IATI qualified, or currently working towards qualification
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a tax or accounting technician role
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Experience with accounting and tax software such as CCH, Sage, or Xero is desirable
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy
- Confident communicator, both written and verbal, with the ability to present clear and accurate information
- Able to manage your own workload and meet deadlines
- Team player with a proactive approach and willingness to take on new responsibilities
About Your New Role
- Always: Prepare self-assessment personal and corporate tax returns for a varied client portfolio; Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records in line with best practice; Ensure all work is completed to a high standard, with attention to detail.
- Often: Liaise with clients to gather information and respond to queries; Support senior staff with tax planning and advisory work; Assist with HMRC correspondence and enquiries; Prepare and assist with VAT and Making Tax Digital (MTD) returns.
- Occasionally: Support the wider team on ad hoc projects and assignments; Assist with process improvements and efficiencies.
- Never: Work in isolation without support from a collaborative and experienced team.
