A well-established accountancy practice in Belfast is seeking a Payroll Assistant to join its busy payroll bureau. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your payroll expertise while working with a varied client portfolio in a supportive and collaborative team.

About You
- Previous payroll experience, ideally within an accountancy practice or payroll bureau
- Experience with HSC payroll is desirable
- Working knowledge of payroll software
- Competent in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- Able to manage multiple deadlines and prioritise workload effectively
- A team player with a willingness to learn and develop
About Your New Role
- Process payroll for a portfolio of clients accurately and on time
- Prepare payroll reports and ensure statutory submissions are completed within deadlines
- Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure compliance with payroll legislation
- Respond to payroll queries from clients and colleagues
- Support the Payroll Manager with the day-to-day operation of the payroll bureau
- Assist with pension processing, statutory payments, and payroll reconciliations
- Support other departments across the practice when required
- Assist with ad hoc payroll projects and administrative tasks
- Gain exposure to bookkeeping and accounts support work where appropriate
