We’re working with a well-established and successful business that’s seeking to appoint a Management Accountant to strengthen its finance team. This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of a key finance role within a supportive and forward-looking organisation, where you’ll gain exposure to both group reporting and strategic projects.

About You
- Professional accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Proven experience preparing management accounts and reports to a high standard
- Strong Excel and systems skills, with knowledge of ERP systems (SAGE500 desirable)
- Excellent communication skills and the confidence to liaise with senior stakeholders
- A proactive and collaborative approach to problem solving and process improvement
Your Responsibilities
Always:
- Prepare monthly management accounts (P&L and Balance Sheet) to review stage, including variance analysis and resolving queries
- Oversee month-end reconciliations, including intercompany accounts
- Support the annual budget cycle, collaborating with budget holders and stakeholders
- Contribute to overhead cost forecasting
Often:
- Act as the main contact for external auditors, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of year-end requirements
- Liaise with tax and compliance teams to support regulatory obligations (e.g. HMRC filings, government returns)
- Lead or contribute to finance projects such as process improvements, transfer pricing updates, or policy changes
- Manage and maintain finance systems to ensure accurate and reliable reporting
Occasionally:
- Contribute to strategic finance projects and system enhancements
- Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and support broader business initiatives
