Downey Osborne is excited to present a Finance Director role with a high-growth technology business. This is an 18 month fixed-term engagement offering the opportunity to shape the finance function, strengthen governance, and support rapid UK and international growth.

About You:
- Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
- Proven experience at Finance Director or similar senior finance level
- Strong background in multi-entity and multi-currency environments
- Highly analytical with a strong focus on cash flow and cash burn
- Confident reviewing contracts and managing financial risk
- Advanced Excel skills
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, scaling business
Your Role:
- Own monthly management accounts and Board reporting
- Maintain strong financial controls and governance
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and longer-term financial planning
- Provide clear insight on performance and variances
- Partner with senior leadership on strategic decisions
- Mentor and develop the Financial Controller
- Drive cost control and continuous improvement
- Oversee cash flow, payments, payroll, and compliance
- Support audits and R&D tax credit processes
- Review customer contracts and highlight risk
- Oversee specialist financial areas with external advisors
- Get involved in ad hoc projects as the business grows
