Downey Osborne is partnering with a leading organisation to recruit an experienced Credit Controller on a 9-month fixed term contract. This role sits within a busy finance function and is focused on supporting effective cash collection, maintaining accurate customer accounts, and ensuring strong working relationships across the business.

About You
- Previous experience in credit control or a similar finance role
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Confident using finance systems and Microsoft Excel
- Organised with strong time management skills
About Your New Role
- Always: Manage and collect outstanding debt in line with agreed credit terms; Allocate and reconcile customer payments accurately; Maintain accurate customer account records; Produce regular debt and cash collection reports; Liaise with internal teams to resolve queries and reduce overdue balances.
- Often: Follow up on aged debt and escalations; Support credit limit reviews and decisions; Work with stakeholders to improve cash collection processes.
- Occasionally: Assist with wider finance reporting tasks; Support process improvements within the credit function.
- Never: Allow overdue debt to go unreviewed or unactioned.
