We are partnering with a leading professional body to recruit an Audit Quality Review Specialist to strengthen their oversight of audit practices and ensure full compliance with regulatory standards.

About You:

  • Member of a Recognised Accountancy or Supervisory Body
  • Minimum of 5 years’ post-qualification experience in audit, accounting practice, or regulatory oversight
  • Strong grasp of professional, technical, and ethical standards
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Highly organised with outstanding communication and influencing skills
  • Comfortable producing clear, professional reports for a range of audiences
  • Skilled at juggling multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Full clean driver’s licence and ability to travel across Ireland

Your Responsibilities:

  • Always: Carry out inspections and monitoring visits to member firms; Evaluate firms’ processes, compliance, and governance against professional standards; Review work performed by firms, including audits, accounting, investment business, and anti-money laundering activities; Interview firm principals and team members to understand practices and controls; Produce detailed reports with findings, insights, and recommendations; Suggest improvements to raise quality and efficiency.
  • Often: Support ongoing compliance and regulatory initiatives; Provide analysis to help shape improvements in practice quality; Offer guidance on current professional, regulatory, and technical matters.
  • Occasionally: Contribute to special projects or initiatives within the professional standards team; Assist in creating guidance materials or training resources.
  • Never: Cut corners on professional standards; Attempt to photocopy your cat for ‘quality assurance purposes’.
