About You

We are looking for someone who is detail-focused, organised, and eager to contribute to a dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Ideally fully qualified Accounts Technician status, or be part-qualified ACA, ACCA (or similar).
  • Previous experience in an Accounts Assistant or similar position.
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Excel and Office; experience with Sage Accounts 50 is an advantage.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in financial processing.
  • A proactive and positive approach, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Your Responsibilities

Always:

  • Maintain computerised accounting systems for multiple group companies.
  • Process purchase and sales ledgers accurately.
  • Perform regular bank reconciliations.
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns in line with deadlines.
  • Uphold the highest standards of accuracy, compliance, and confidentiality.

Often:

  • Complete intercompany account reconciliations.
  • Assist with payment runs and resolve supplier queries.
  • Support the preparation of management accounts and year-end accounts.
  • Prepare project costings to support business decisions.
  • Provide general administrative and accounts support tasks.

Occasionally:

  • Contribute to system or process improvements within the finance team.
  • Support with ad hoc financial analysis or reporting for senior management.
  • Assist with audits or external stakeholder requests.
  • Take part in projects across the wider group finance function.
