The successful candidate will support the preparation of accurate and timely financial information, reporting and analysis, while ensuring full compliance with internal policies, financial controls and relevant regulatory requirements. This role sits within a busy finance team and will provide exposure to a broad range of accounting duties across financial reporting, month-end processes and operational finance support.

About You:

  • Part-qualified, studying towards, or qualified by experience in accounting (AAT, ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
  • Strong grounding in core accounting principles and double-entry bookkeeping
  • Experience supporting the preparation of management accounts
  • High level of accuracy with strong attention to detail
  • Confident using Excel and financial systems
  • Able to manage deadlines and prioritise effectively
  • Strong communication skills and a team-focused approach

About Your New Role:

  • Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts and supporting schedules
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
  • Complete reconciliations across key balance sheet accounts
  • Support the month-end and year-end close processes
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies and procedures
  • Post journals, accruals and prepayments
  • Carry out regular account reconciliations and investigate variances
  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders to resolve financial queries
  • Assist with audit preparation and audit queries
  • Support statutory reporting requirements and external submissions
  • Provide ad hoc financial analysis and reporting
  • Contribute to process improvements within the finance function
  • Assist with finance system updates or testing
  • Never compromise on accuracy, compliance or financial controls
