An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Management Accountant to join a growing business in Belfast. Working closely with the Finance Manager, you will gain broad exposure across the finance function and play an important role in providing accurate financial information to support business decisions.

About You:

We are looking for someone with:

  • At least 12 months' experience in a finance or office administration role
  • AAT/ACA/ACCA or CIMA qualification, newly qualified or currently studying towards
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills
  • Good communication and IT skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • A proactive and organised approach
  • The ability to work well as part of a team
  • Previous experience within food distribution or a similar environment would be advantageous

Responsibilities:

  • Produce accurate and timely financial information
  • Maintain high standards of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Work collaboratively with the wider finance team
  • Take ownership of your workload
  • Look for ways to improve processes and support the wider business
  • Prepare monthly management accounts and supporting schedules
  • Post journals and complete balance sheet reconciliations
  • Produce sales reports and management scorecards
  • Monitor stock control and investigate discrepancies
  • Assist with payroll and VAT returns
  • Manage credit control and bank administration
  • Complete weekly cost analysis
  • Provide commercial input into product pricing
  • Support with wider finance projects and business initiatives
  • Provide additional analysis to support management decision-making
