This is an excellent opportunity for someone currently completing their training contract, or a part qualified accountant looking to move into a supportive practice environment with strong exposure to both audit and accounts work. The role offers structured development, strong mentoring and a clear pathway to qualification, with full study support provided.

About You

  • Part qualified ACA, ACCA or currently in a training contract (considering a move)
  • Some audit experience gained within practice
  • Strong technical understanding with good attention to detail
  • Interest in developing accounts preparation skills (training provided)
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Motivated, reliable and keen to progress towards qualification

About Your New Role

  • Assist with audit fieldwork across a range of SME clients
  • Support the preparation of financial statements and statutory accounts
  • Work closely with seniors and managers on audit planning and execution
  • Engage with clients to gather information and support audit processes
  • Carry out substantive testing and audit procedures
  • Assist with accounts preparation work for a varied client portfolio
  • Support completion of audit files and working papers
  • Develop understanding of accounting systems and client processes
  • Assist with tax returns and basic compliance work
  • Support senior team members on ad hoc assignments
  • Get exposure to a variety of industries and client types
