Downey Osborne is partnering with a growing organisation to recruit a Trainee Accounts Technician.

About You

  • Previous experience within an accounts or finance environment is desirable
  • Strong attention to detail with a willingness to learn
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Confident using Microsoft Excel and finance systems
  • Positive attitude with a proactive approach
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team

About Your New Role

  • Always
  • Assist with preparation of accounts and financial reports
  • Process purchase and sales invoices accurately
  • Complete bank reconciliations and maintain financial records
  • Support month-end procedures including journals and reconciliations
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure financial information is up to date
  • Work closely with senior members of the finance team to develop technical knowledge

  • Assist with credit control and supplier reconciliations
  • Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
  • Help prepare management information and financial reports
  • Investigate discrepancies and resolve queries
