The Opportunity
We are seeking a driven and experienced Service Delivery Manager to join our Telco and Metering Services team within Downer Energy and Utilities, based in High Wycombe, WA. This is an exciting opportunity to lead the delivery of the On Demand Module (ODM) program across Western Australia. Supporting a key client in the telecommunications sector, you will ensure work is delivered safely on time and within budget while consistently exceeding customer expectations. You will lead internal teams and manage subcontractors across multiple work fronts, acting as a key escalation point and ensuring supervisors and crews are effectively coordinated on site. Your day will involve overseeing ticket-based work, engaging with stakeholders and ensuring delivery outcomes align with contractual requirements and Downer standards.
What We Are Looking For
- You are a confident and capable leader with strong telecommunications experience and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Proven experience in a leadership role within telecommunications or infrastructure delivery.
- Strong knowledge of fibre networks telecommunications standards and regulations.
- Experience managing subcontractors and coordinating multi‑disciplinary site activities.
- Demonstrated ability to influence, negotiate and build strong stakeholder relationships.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present to a wide range of audiences.
- Strong planning, problem solving and prioritisation skills.
- Qualification in Engineering, Project Management or Business Management.
- Telecommunications qualifications or experience across fibre, copper, HFC or equipment installation.
- Experience working within NBN or similar client environments.
You will also demonstrate strong accountability, a collaborative leadership style and a commitment to safety, quality and customer outcomes.
