The predicted salary is between 15750 - 24784 £ per year.

Required 37.5 hours per week, Monday-Friday 7am - 3pm all year round, with Saturdays (7am-11.00am) on a rota basis during school term times. 4-5 Saturdays or Sundays during summer school, for which you will receive additional pay for these shifts.

Salary: £21,157.50 to £24,784.50 per annum.

Downe House is a leading independent boarding and day school for girls based in the village of Cold Ash, near Thatcham, West Berkshire. We are fortunate that our pupils can live and learn in modern, beautiful and natural surroundings. Our school has a range of facilities including classrooms, boarding houses, dining halls, staff residential accommodation and indoor and outdoor sports facilities.

Our Estates & Services team plays an important role in the upkeep of our impressive school site through maintenance, cleaning and logistical work, always ensuring the safety of pupils and other staff. The Housekeeping Porter will work as part of a busy and friendly team providing porterage support including cleaning and maintaining outside areas, waste management, laundry delivery/collection, assisting with summer lettings set up, deep cleaning the site during school holidays and other tasks as required.

We are looking for someone who has good organisational/cleaning skills, who is happy to work outdoors and has the stamina required for a physical role. You should be able to work well alone and also within a team, and be able to communicate appropriately with pupils and other staff. Full training will be given on the job.
