Groundworks Project Manager / Supervisor
We are looking for an experienced Groundworks Project Manager / Supervisor to join a construction company on a permanent basis.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing two or more groundworks projects across London , ensuring that works are completed safely, efficiently and to the required standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise multiple groundworks projects simultaneously.
- Visit sites regularly and monitor progress, quality and productivity.
- Manage site teams, subcontractors and plant.
- Ensure works are completed in accordance with drawings, specifications and programmes.
- Coordinate with clients, engineers, quantity surveyors and other contractors.
- Monitor labour, materials and plant requirements.
- Identify and resolve site issues quickly and effectively.
- Ensure all works comply with health & safety requirements.
- Complete site reports, progress updates and relevant paperwork.
- Assist with planning and programming upcoming works.
- Monitor project costs and minimise unnecessary expenditure.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time and to a high standard.
Experience & Requirements
Proven experience in groundworks and civil engineering .
Previous experience managing or supervising multiple sites/projects .
- Strong knowledge of drainage, foundations, concrete, utilities, roads, slabs and associated groundworks.
Ability to read and understand construction drawings.
• Good understanding of health & safety requirements.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage site teams and subcontractors effectively.
- Full UK driving licence.
SMSTS/SSSTS and relevant site qualifications preferred.
- CSCS card and relevant groundworks experience required.
