We are looking for a Washplant Operatorto join our team.

You will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the washplant and water treatment system, ensuring materials are processed correctly and recycled aggregates meet the required specification.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate and monitor the washplant and water treatment system.
  • Ensure processed materials meet the required specification.
  • Work with the site team to maintain efficient plant loading and removal of recycled aggregates and clay.
  • Carry out routine plant inspections, cleaning and basic maintenance.
  • Complete daily pre-start checks on site and mobile plant and report defects promptly.
  • Monitor plant performance and report any issues affecting production or quality.
  • Inspect incoming materials for suitability and compliance with waste acceptance criteria.
  • Maintain clean, safe and organised stockpiles, bays and working areas.
  • Follow all company health, safety and environmental procedures.
  • Work with the Site Manager to resolve operational issues and improve plant performance.

Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience operating a washplant, recycling plant, quarry plant or similar is desirable.
  • Experience operating mobile plant such as loading shovels or excavators is advantageous.
  • Good mechanical awareness and ability to identify plant defects.
  • Reliable, safety-conscious and able to work as part of a team.
  • Good attention to detail and a proactive approach to work.
  • Monday to Friday, full-time

Occasional Saturday work may be available.
