The Governors of Dowlais Primary School are seeking applications from suitably qualified teachers to work in our LRB class. An enthusiastic and highly motivated teacher is required to work with pupils aged 3-7 having autistic spectrum disorder / communication difficulties.
The successful candidate will:
- Be an excellent classroom practitioner with a knowledge and understanding of ASD
- Be able to work as part of a committed hard-working team.
- Be caring, positive and make our children’s learning fun and enjoyable
- Be highly motivated and hold high expectations of our children’s wellbeing, achievements, and attitudes to learning
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with staff, pupils, parents, the Governing Body and the wider community.
A relevant qualification in the field of additional learning would be an advantage. A candidate without Additional needs qualifications that has a desire to work with ASD pupils, would be required, if appointed, to give an understanding to follow an appropriate course of training, whenever the LA could make the necessary arrangements.
