The successful candidate will have responsibility and accountability for the full employee life cycle and will be involved in all areas of the Human Resources function, including day-to-day support, advice and guidance on employee relations, recruitment, training and employee engagement activities. They will work closely with the Head of People & Culture, HR Manager, Business Unit Leads and the Senior Leadership team to implement the company’s HR/People Strategy. On-the-job training will be provided at the beginning of the role.

Responsibilities

  • Recruitment
  • Preparation of job adverts/management of job boards
  • Support the Talent Acquisition Lead with reporting
  • Provide operational support to Talent Acquisition Lead as required
  • Onboarding
  • Create personnel files, complete pre-employment checks and send out New Start packs
  • Notify relevant Departments
  • Inductions – Carry out Company Induction, coordinate with other departments and support line managers in development of induction plans
  • Carry out 3 week check-ins and ensure mid and end probationary reviews are completed and returned to HR
  • Leavers
  • Notify relevant departments
  • Administration of leavers documentation
  • Advise payroll of final payments due (holiday balance)
  • Health Matters
  • Design and implement campaigns aligned to the company’s wellbeing strategy to promote good mental and physical wellbeing among staff
  • Provide information, guidance, and advice to employees around topics such as mental health and wellbeing
  • Management of Employee Benefits – sourcing suppliers and internal promotion
  • Management of Charity donations and fundraising activity
  • Employee Engagement / CSR
  • Facilitate and collect employee feedback
  • Assisting with CSR activities – BITC / volunteering / community engagement
  • General
  • Provide advice and guidance on HR policies and procedures to all staff
  • Manage HR inbox – escalation of queries
  • Assist with payroll, holiday enquiries and maintain employee records (Dowds App)
  • Oversight of Absence Management procedure
