Job Description:

We are looking for a solution driven candidate who would describe themselves as being analytical, collaborative and highly organized. The Sales Planning team is comfortable working in a deadline driven environment and being communicative about their deliverables. The most successful individuals understand how to prioritize their workload and can be agile and adapt quickly if an urgent matter arises. The team is focused on pricing integrity, media plan strategy and campaign delivery, but also on continued upskilling and leadership training and opportunities.

By joining our global Sales Planning organization you will be a part of a diverse and growing team where you will continue to learn, be challenged and work directly with our clients on best-in-class advertising campaigns. You will report to the Manager, Sales Planning.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the sales team on RFPs to provide proposal ideas and inventory solutions that best meet the client expectations and proposal objectives while maintaining pricing integrity and inventory package strategy
  • Produce sales proposals in order management system leveraging yield tools required (does not include creation of client presentations) and reserve inventory once deal is approved
  • Work directly with advertisers or media agencies to collect campaign assets and communicate across internal teams for a successful and timely launch
  • Monitor and optimize campaigns so that revenue is maintained and balanced with client goals (this includes providing recommendations and insights directly to advertisers or media agencies)
  • Solid understanding of Dow Jones product offering and operational capabilities
  • Analyze user data and audience metrics via advertising tools
  • Assist Senior Planners and Planning Managers by utilizing historical data to support strategic decision about new media sales initiatives

Requirements:

  • Experience working with an advertising operations or media planning team, preferably in a client-facing role
  • Experience using one or more ad serving and/or order management systems (i.e. Google Ad Manager, OperativeOne, etc.) preferred
  • Ability to work independently as well as with a team
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast paced environment while managing multiple projects and tight deadlines
  • Detail-oriented and highly motivated with proven analytical, strategic, and creative problem solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in person, over email and virtual meeting spaces with the ability to articulate complex scenarios to clients and internal teams effectively
  • Advanced computer applications skills (Excel, Word, Google Suite)
  • Bachelor\’s degree preferred
