About the Role:

The Product Manager II (Platform & Integration Products) is responsible for the product strategy and overall management of the functional product development lifecycle for Risk & Compliance API integration products as well as the supporting platforms. This role reports directly to the Senior Director of Product, Integration Feeds & APIs, and will be part of the Integration Feeds & API Team supporting all Dow Jones Feeds & APIs. This role will require regular interaction and liaison with Dow Jones Technology, Design, Data & AI and Business teams, as well as third-party vendor partners, outside of Dow Jones.

It is the responsibility of the Product Manager II to ensure that both the existing Product features are operating as specified and all new product features are defined, specified, scoped, scheduled, delivered and communicated both internally and to our client base. The Product Manager will independently manage the full lifecycle for larger features or product components, demonstrating proficient product judgement, analytical skills, and prioritisation aligned with strategy. They contribute effectively to their area's strategy, build strong cross-functional partnerships, influence immediate stakeholders, and possess solid domain/technical expertise. They operate with autonomy on clearly-defined product areas.

You Will:

  • Develop the product strategy and understand market opportunities and the competitive landscape.
  • Collaborate with research, proposition, sales, design, engineering, data & AI, and client service teams to ensure Product Market Fit and successful execution of product initiatives.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to develop, prioritise, and deliver product features and enhancements. Ensure the roadmap is clearly understood by stakeholders.
  • Be a key contributor to the Backlog Refinement, Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-Ups, and Sprint Retrospective ceremonies, ensuring that agreed priorities are adhered to, minor changes are quickly clarified and progressed and the backlog is constantly being refined to benefit utilisation of our Designers and Engineers.
  • Participate in User Acceptance Testing (together with Engineers and Designers) and ensure pre-launch blockers are tracked, prioritised and resolved. Be an advocate of frequent release and feedback cycles.
  • Be a champion of gathering and analysing Voice of the Customer feedback, developing a deep customer understanding, proactively identifying unmet needs and pain points and integrating these into the quarterly planning process.
  • Able to decline requests (by saying no, or not at this time) and articulate the reasons.
  • Assist with the communications (internal and external) of new feature releases and maintenance of user guides.
  • Have a solid understanding of the technical architecture for the products you manage.

You Have:

  • 4 + years of experience in product management, with a track record of successfully managing large and complex projects or entire products.
  • Proven ability to develop a product strategy, balancing user needs with business goals, and using data to drive decisions.
  • A solid understanding of technical architecture and the software development process that includes Agile methodologies (Scrum). Understands feasibility and can make informed product choices aligned with technological impact.
  • Demonstrable experience tackling complexity and contributing to strategy with strong judgement and analytical rigor. (e.g. prioritisation and trade-offs for complex product initiatives, aligning with strategic company goals)
  • Advanced communication, organisation, planning and project management skills - knowing how to influence across multiple teams, even without direct authority.
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own product areas.
  • Demonstrable experience in scoping, budgeting, scheduling and delivering complex project implementations.
  • Preferred experience managing third-party partners, along with a strong understanding of AI.
