About The Team:
As part of the global Marketing organization, the B2B Enterprise Marketing team is responsible for driving business growth in partnership with the product and sales teams of our three core businesses: Dow Jones Newswires, Factiva and Risk & Compliance. The team runs a client centric strategy focused on industries and accounts developing and activating campaigns that drive awareness, build our reputation and deepen relationships in select industries and accounts.
In this role, you will be responsible for marketing to Fortune 1000 companies in 3 of the select industries (Banking, Investing, Payments, Manufacturing, Oil & Gas, Pharma) and driving revenue growth in these segments and key accounts within. You will be responsible for the planning and execution of events and conferences that build awareness and our reputation in our key industries and engage our target accounts, enabling sales to build relationships and drive business growth. You will work collaboratively with Sales, Industry Marketing, Product-Proposition and the Global Marketing team to develop the strategy and execute your plan. We are looking for a strategic Events Marketing Manager, with experience in industry marketing and account based marketing; who has successfully partnered with sales to drive business growth in EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa). This role is based in-person in London, UK or Paris, FR, reporting to the Senior Director of Marketing for EMEA.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, and the Business Proposition team to develop an event strategy targeting select industries and accounts that integrates with the digital strategy to drive awareness, build our reputation and deepen relationships.
- Understand the events for our target industries, stay abreast of latest trends, and monitor competitors' event activity.
- Manage, from start to finish, the ideation, planning, and delivery of assigned events. Ensure Dow Jones has an optimal presence including a prominent speaking slot, a well located booth with compelling design and content, a networking opportunity to build relationships, etc. targeting decision makers from our select accounts.
- Plan and deliver a wide range of events including hosted in-person events, conference sponsorships, and virtual events.
- Management of all event logistics, including contract negotiation, and storage and shipment of booths, promotional items, printed materials.
- Analyze event performance - at an industry and account level- to inform data-driven decisions and creation of future events plans.
- Maintain events budget and related processes involving procurement and finance.
- Creation of post-event reports to actively track and optimize the performance of each event.
What You'll Bring
- 7 years of events experience, ideally within the B2B space targeting enterprise clients from Banks, Payments, Investing, Oil & Gas, Pharmaceutical and/or Manufacturing companies. Experience in Risk and Compliance is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field; MBA a plus.
- Ability to work effectively in a matrixed company model.
- Strong collaboration and influencing skills.
- Experience managing heavy and conflicting event schedules, and multiple event formats, including proprietary events, niche industry conferences, major industry conferences, etc.
- Excellent project management skills with a proven ability to multitask, prioritize, manage stakeholders at all levels across the business and adhere to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Multilingual a plus - In addition to English, proficient in/basic understanding of Spanish, French or German is preferred.
