Job Description:Be part of the team responsible for producing first class live events and experiences for Dow Jones, The Wall Street Journal and Barron’s Group!The Dow Jones events team produces well over 250 events a year (globally) of all shapes, sizes and formats, bringing our brands to life for our members, our clients and our colleagues. At the heart of it all, is live journalism, connecting our audiences with newsmakers and big ideas, via ambitious experiences.As one of our Event Producers, you will play a key role developing, planning and delivering premium live experiences across Dow Jones’, with a particular focus on our Journal House event franchise along with the wider consumer events portfolio. You will take ownership of events from concept through to execution, working closely with Editorial, Programming, Marketing, Commercial (Sales), Sponsorship Activation teams and external partners to create distinctive experiences that strengthen our brands, engage audiences, and support broader business objectives.In partnership with the above mentioned teams, you'll deliver successful events for an array of products within the Dow Jones ecosystem. You will combine strong event production expertise with creative thinking, commercial awareness and an understanding of premium media brands. You will be comfortable operating in a fast-paced, international environment and managing multiple complex projects simultaneously.Reporting to the Associate Director, Events - EMEA, you will work in our London Bridge office at least 3 days per week. You WillDevelop, plan and deliver Journal House and EMEA-based consumer events from initial concept and creative development through to onsite execution and post-event evaluation.Support the continued growth and evolution of the Journal House franchise, delivering premium experiences that bring The Wall Street Journal's journalism, people and brand to life.Work closely with Dow Jones newsrooms and content operation teams to develop compelling live journalism experiences, ensuring content, speakers and formats are aligned with audience interests and editorial priorities.Partner with Marketing, Audience Development, Commercial and other internal stakeholders to ensure events support wider brand, audience and business objectives.Develop creative event concepts, formats and audience experiences that reflect the positioning and premium nature of The Wall Street Journal and Dow Jones brands.Manage event production, including venues, suppliers, production partners, AV, staging, branding, guest experience, registration and onsite operations.Oversee the development of event design, environments and brand presence, ensuring a consistently high-quality audience experience.Create detailed event plans, production schedules, run-of-show documents and operational briefings for internal teams and external suppliers.Build and maintain event budgets, tracking costs, commitments and contractual obligations and ensuring events are delivered within agreed financial parameters.Manage relationships with external agencies, production companies, venues and other event partners, ensuring high standards of delivery and value.Work closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to manage event logistics, guest experience, hospitality and onsite requirements.Lead post-event reviews, capturing audience feedback, performance data, operational learnings and recommendations to improve future events.Mentor and support more junior members of the Events team where appropriate.Build strong knowledge of Dow Jones brands, audiences, editorial priorities and the wider events landscape.You Have5+ years of proven experience producing premium live events, experiential events, consumer events, conferences and/or brand experiences, ideally within media, publishing, luxury, entertainment or a similarly high-profile environmentStrong understanding of how live experiences can build brand affinity, audience engagement, and commercial valueDemonstrable experience taking events from concept and creative development through to production and onsite deliveryEvent production experience including venue management, AV, staging, design, guest experience, and supplier managementStrong commercial and financial acumen, including experience managing event budgets and negotiating with suppliers and partnersHighly creative, with a strong eye for design, detail and quality and a passion for creating memorable audience experiencesExcellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple complex events and contrasting deadlines simultaneouslyOutstanding organisational and communication skills, with the confidence to manage senior internal and external stakeholdersStrategic thinker who is also comfortable getting into the detail and taking ownership of delivery.Calm, solutions-focused and highly adaptable, particularly in a live event environmentBachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field; MBA a plus, or equivalent experienceWillingness and ability to travel internationally, including to support Journal House events and major Dow Jones events across EMEA and globallyFlexibility to work outside standard office hours when required for live event deliveryStrong copywriting skillsStrong presentation skillsKnowledge of event design and marketing processesWillingness to work on-site in our London office 3 days each weekDow Jones is committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace where everyone can bring their experience, perspective and ideas to the table.Equal Opportunity EmployerAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, age, national origin, protected veteran status, disability status or any other protected characteristic under applicable law.Reasonable AccommodationWe are committed to providing reasonable accommodation for qualified individuals with disabilities in our job application and/or interview process.
