We are looking for a Teacher of Music and Music Technology to join our vibrant department, housed in a state-of-the-art, purpose-built music centre.
Whether you are guiding a student through the complexities of A-Level Music Technology or conducting a high-energy ensemble, you will be instrumental in fostering a lifelong love of music across all year groups.
- State-of-the-Art Facilities: Work within a modern, purpose-built music suite equipped for both traditional and digital performance.
- Professional Development: Comprehensive induction and ongoing CPD, with dedicated support for Early Career Teachers (ECTs).
- Academic Delivery: Teach Music from Key Stage 3 through to A-Level, with a specific focus on delivering high-quality A-Level Music Technology units.
- Ensemble Leadership: Direct various ensembles across all year groups, utilising expert rehearsal techniques to achieve high-level public performances.
- Curriculum Innovation: Contribute to the evolution of the music curriculum, integrating modern technology with classical foundations to engage a diverse student body.
- Extra-Curricular Advocacy: Lead and expand our existing programme of lunchtime and after-school sessions, ensuring music remains the heartbeat of the school.
- Student Mentorship: Act as a specialist mentor for aspiring musicians, guiding them through practical exams, compositions, and higher education pathways.
Proven experience teaching Music Technology at A-Level is essential. You should be comfortable with industry-standard software and production techniques.
Qualifications: You hold QTS (or equivalent) and possess a degree-level specialisation in Music or Music Technology. A track record of delivering engaging Music lessons at KS3, GCSE, and A-Level.
