We are seeking a Trainer in Electrical Installation to deliver high-quality teaching and support to learners across electrical apprenticeship programmes. This role is primarily centre-based and involves delivering practical and theoretical training, supporting learner progress, and ensuring all training meets current industry and awarding body standards.

You will join a well-established and reputable training provider based in East Yorkshire, delivering high-quality electrical training and apprenticeship programmes. Role Responsibilities:

  • Delivering practical and classroom-based training in Electrical Installation
  • Teaching apprenticeship standards and underpinning knowledge
  • Supporting learners with assignments, assessments, and portfolio evidence
  • Preparing learners for End Point Assessment (EPA)
  • Monitoring learner progress and maintaining accurate records
  • Ensuring training meets awarding body, Ofsted, and Health & Safety requirements
  • Keeping training materials up to date with current industry standards
  • Building positive relationships with learners, employers, and colleagues

Essential Requirements:

  • Background as an Electrician or Electrical Trainer within installation
  • Level 3 (or higher) qualification in Domestic and Commercial Electrical Installation
  • Significant, relevant industry experience
  • Experience in teaching, training, or assessing (or a strong desire to move into training)
  • Teaching qualification and/or Assessor/IQA qualification (desirable)
  • CSCS Gold Card
  • Up-to-date knowledge of Wiring Regulations
  • Strong understanding of Apprenticeship Standards and EPA requirements
  • Confident using IT systems and digital learning platforms
  • Flexible, learner-focused, and collaborative approach
