The Opportunity
Are you a skilled bike mechanic, cycle technician, or hands-on engineer looking to step away from the commercial workshop and make a genuine social impact? We are recruiting for an enthusiastic Bikes Maintenance Tutor to join a leading training and education provider within a secure youth custodial setting. In this role, you will deliver practical, competency-based cycle mechanics and repair training programmes up to Level 2. Your knowledge will give young learners real-world trade skills, teamwork experience, and the practical qualifications they need to secure a stable career path upon release.
What You Will Be Doing
- Practical Training: Plan and organise engaging cycle mechanics courses up to Level 2, teaching everything from basic servicing and diagnostics to complex bike repairs.
- Progress Tracking: Assess learner progress, maintain accurate records, and contribute to Individual Learning Plans (ILPs) to support each learner's personal goals.
