Contract: Permanent, Full Time (37 hours per week)

Are you an experienced construction professional looking to move into education, or an existing lecturer ready for a new challenge? This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established Further Education provider and help develop the next generation of skilled tradespeople.

Working within the Construction department, you will deliver engaging teaching, learning and assessment to learners studying Multi Trades programmes. You will play a key role in supporting students to develop practical trade skills, achieve qualifications and progress into employment or further training.

The Role

  • Deliver high-quality teaching, learning and assessment across Multi Trades programmes
  • Plan and prepare engaging lessons and practical workshop sessions
  • Assess learner progress and provide constructive feedback
  • Set individual learning targets and support students to achieve their goals
  • Act as a personal tutor, providing both academic and pastoral support
  • Support learners with a range of educational and behavioural needs
  • Maintain accurate learner records and monitor attendance and achievement
  • Liaise with parents, employers and external stakeholders where required
  • Contribute to curriculum development and quality improvement activities
  • Embed English and maths skills into vocational learning

What We're Looking For

  • Level 3 vocational qualification in a relevant construction trade
  • Level 2 English and Maths
  • Industry experience within construction or multi-trade environments
  • Experience supporting learners, apprentices or trainees
  • Ability to motivate and engage learners from a range of backgrounds
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Teaching qualification (Level 4 or Level 5) desirable
  • Experience working with learners who have behavioural or educational support needs would be advantageous
