Role
- You will deliver engaging theory and practical sessions across Carpentry programmes, supporting learners throughout their studies and helping them achieve their full potential.
- Delivering practical and classroom‑based teaching across Level 1 and Level 2 Carpentry programmes
- Planning schemes of work and preparing engaging lesson materials
- Assessing learner progress and providing constructive feedback
- Acting as a Personal Tutor and providing pastoral support where required
- Maintaining accurate learner records and tracking achievement
- Supporting curriculum development and quality improvement activities
- Building positive relationships with employers, parents and external stakeholders
- Promoting high standards of health and safety within workshop environments
- Embedding Maths and English into vocational learning
What We’re Looking For
- Level 2 or above qualification in Site Carpentry or Bench Joinery
- Industry experience within Carpentry and Joinery
- Level 2 Maths and English qualifications
- Previous teaching, training or mentoring experience
- Strong organisational and classroom management skills
- Commitment to safeguarding, inclusion and learner success
Desirable:
- Teaching qualification (Level 4, Level 5, PGCE, Cert Ed or equivalent)
- Assessor qualification
- Experience delivering vocational qualifications within Further Education or Apprenticeships
