The Opportunity
Are you an expert in English looking for a teaching role where your skills can transform lives and support social rehabilitation? We are recruiting for a dedicated Functional Skills Generalist Cover Tutor to join the education team on-site at HMP Stocken. In this role, you will deliver higher-level English tutoring while also providing adaptable generalist cover across the education department. Working with small groups of prison-based learners, you will help them develop key skills, knowledge, and positive behaviours that align directly with their long-term goals and aspirations.
What You Will Be Doing
- Higher-Level English Delivery: Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality higher-level English training programmes tailored to the needs of adult learners in custody.
- Generalist Cover Support: Provide dynamic teaching cover across a variety of subject areas as needed, ensuring continuous, seamless educational delivery across the department.
- Tailored Learning Plans: Ensure appropriate, individualised training plans are established for each learner.
