Geography Teacher Salary: MPS/UPS (Outer London) + £1,500 Bonus Allowance

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver effective, high-quality Geography lessons from Year 7 to Year 13, ensuring that the study of physical and human environments meets the needs of all students.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, using data to provide constructive feedback and ensure high levels of academic achievement across GCSE and A-Level cohorts.
  • Act as a Form Tutor, providing pastoral support and maintaining positive professional relationships with students, parents, and carers.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative resources and field-study curriculum plans, including the creative use of ICT and Interactive Whiteboards.
  • Foster an inclusive environment, managing your classroom effectively to ensure safety, motivation, and high standards of behaviour.

Requirements:

  • Hold a QTS (or equivalent) and a relevant undergraduate degree in Geography or a related field.
  • Successful teaching experience at secondary level (teaching practice included), ideally in a multi-ethnic urban 11-18 setting.
  • Strong knowledge of National Curriculum requirements, including GCSE and A-Level specifications, lesson planning, and assessment.
  • Excellent communication, time management, and ICT skills, with a commitment to continuous professional growth.
