Are you a criminology specialist looking to bring the subject to life for the next generation of learners?
About the Role
You'll join a further education provider in the North West, delivering criminology to learners and supporting them to achieve their full potential.
You'll plan and deliver engaging sessions, assess progress and work alongside colleagues to keep the curriculum fresh, relevant and well taught.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering high-quality teaching across criminology programmes.
- Planning, preparing and assessing learning activities that support learner progression and achievement.
- Contributing to curriculum development and the continuous improvement of teaching practice.
- Supporting learners through tutorial, pastoral and progression activity.
- Maintaining accurate academic and administrative records.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- A degree or appropriate professional qualification relevant to criminology
- Experience of teaching, assessing or instructing learners
- Strong subject knowledge and the ability to engage and motivate a group
Desirable (but not essential):
- A recognised teaching qualification, such as a Certificate in Education, PGCE or Level 5 equivalent
- Experience of delivering Level 3 criminology programmes
- Experience of internal verification or moderation
- Experience of acting as a personal tutor
