Job Purpose
- Find work placements and industry placements for students.
- Help students gain useful real-world experience linked to their course and future career.
- Build relationships with employers to arrange placements, careers talks, masterclasses, interview practice and virtual work experience.
Main Duties
- Contact employers to source suitable work placement opportunities.
- Check employers can offer proper supervision and a safe working environment.
- Work with teaching teams to match students with relevant placement opportunities.
- Keep accurate records of placement hours, employer activity and compliance checks.
- Make sure students are prepared before starting placements, including paperwork and training.
Requirements
- Experience in a professional setting with customer service skills.
- Confident contacting and building relationships with employers and clients.
- Good understanding of health and safety requirements for work placements.
- Organised, confident communicator who can manage records, solve problems and support students professionally.
- Willing to complete a new Enhanced DBS check as required.
