HOURS: 37 hours per week

CONTRACT: Full Time, Permanent

SALARY: £33,656 - £39,034 per annum (plus potential £3,000 market premium)

JOB PURPOSE: To deliver high-quality teaching and training across full-time, adult and apprenticeship Plumbing programmes, ensuring learners develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours required to succeed in the industry.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Deliver engaging and effective teaching across 16-19, adult and apprenticeship programmes
  • Plan and deliver lessons covering:
  • Hot and cold water systems
  • Central heating systems
  • Sanitation and drainage
  • Health and safety
  • Renewable technologies
  • Assess learner progress and provide timely, constructive feedback
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress and achievement
  • Support learners to achieve their qualifications and progress into employment
  • Contribute to curriculum development to ensure content remains industry relevant
  • Support students with varying abilities and learning needs
  • Participate in team meetings, CPD and college activities
  • PERSON SPECIFICATION

    Essential:

    • Level 3 qualification in Plumbing or Domestic Heating
    • Relevant industry experience in Plumbing
    • Good communication and organisational skills
    • Willingness to work towards a teaching qualification

    Desirable:

    • Teaching qualification (PGCE/Cert Ed or equivalent)
    • Assessor and Internal Verifier qualifications
    • Experience delivering in Further Education or Apprenticeships
