Motor Vehicle Assessor
Temporary
Location: Yorkshire and the Humber
Are you an experienced motor vehicle professional looking to pass your skills on to the next generation of technicians?
About the Role
An education provider is looking to appoint a Motor Vehicle Assessor to support and assess apprentices working towards their automotive qualifications. You'll guide learners through their programme, carry out assessments and help them build the technical skills and confidence employers are looking for.
If you're new to assessing or teaching, that's not a barrier. Industry professionals are supported to work towards a recognised qualification while they work.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assessing and supporting apprentices across motor vehicle programmes.
- Delivering sessions that combine practical and theoretical learning.
- Tracking apprentice progress and providing timely, constructive feedback.
- Maintaining accurate records of progress and achievement.
- Contributing to curriculum development and assessment practice.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Level 3 Motor Vehicle qualification (or equivalent)
- Strong practical and technical knowledge of motor vehicle maintenance and repair
- Enthusiasm for mentoring and supporting apprentices
- Good communication and organisational skills
Desirable (but not essential):
- Experience of teaching, assessing or instructing learners
- A recognised assessor or teaching qualification
If you're ready to share your industry expertise and help apprentices become industry-ready technicians, we'd love to hear from you.
