We are currently recruiting Maths Lecturers and Teachers across South Yorkshire to deliver A Level, GCSE, and Functional Skills Maths within schools and FE colleges. Whether you specialise in academic pathways or resit provision, we have opportunities to suit your experience.
The Role
You will deliver high-quality Maths teaching across A Level, GCSE, and/or Functional Skills, supporting learners to achieve strong outcomes and progress into further education, apprenticeships, or employment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Plan and deliver engaging Maths lessons across your specialism
- Teach A Level, GCSE and/or Functional Skills Maths
- Differentiate lessons to support mixed-ability and resit learners
- Assess progress and provide clear, constructive feedback
- Support learners with exam preparation and confidence building
- Contribute to curriculum delivery and departmental success
- Maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment
Essential Requirements
- QTS, QTLS, PGCE, or equivalent teaching qualification
- Experience teaching A Level, GCSE or Functional Skills Maths
- Strong subject knowledge and ability to engage learners
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain)
Desirable
- Experience within Further Education or Sixth Form settings
- Strong results with GCSE resit learners
- Ability to teach across multiple levels (FS, GCSE, A Level)
