Are you a dedicated care professional driven by the belief that every child in care deserves a "superhero" in their corner? We are seeking a Senior Residential Support Worker to join our growing team, supporting young people with complex needs in a nurturing, collaborative environment.
This role is about more than daily supervision; you will lead by example, supporting the Registered Manager to ensure our home isn't just a placement, but a high-standard environment where children feel safe, valued, and empowered to reach positive outcomes.
- Support to progress from Level 3 to Level 5 Leadership & Management.
- Be part of a service that is proactively building a positive culture fit for the future of residential care.
- Assist the Registered and Deputy Managers in the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring full compliance with Ofsted regulations and therapeutic approaches.
- Care Coordination: Act as a Key Worker or support others in maintaining meticulous records, development plans, and casework to ensure high-quality, informed practice.
- Staff Mentorship: Assist with the recruitment of new team members and identify training gaps to coach staff in the skills necessary to meet children's complex needs.
Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) and a genuine willingness to work toward Level 5 Leadership & Management.
Practitioner Excellence: Minimum of 2 years' experience in a children's residential setting with a strong understanding of trauma-informed care and child development.
Specialist Knowledge (Desirable): Experience supporting children with SEND or complex behavioural needs and a working knowledge of Ofsted inspection frameworks.
