I am representing a college in Leeds that are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Digital Lecturer to deliver BTEC Level 3 programmes in Computing and Data Science to Further Education learners (aged 16-18 learners). You will play a key role in inspiring students and developing their skills in programming, IT systems, and data analysis, preparing them for higher education or careers in the digital sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality teaching across Level 3 BTEC Computing and Data Science
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons in:
- Programming (e.g. Python, C#, or similar)
- IT systems and networking
- Data analysis and data science fundamentals
Essential Requirements
- Degree (or equivalent) in Computing, Data Science, IT, or a related field
- Strong knowledge of:
- Programming (e.g. Python, Java, or C#)
- IT systems and/or networking
- Data handling and analysis
Desirable
- Teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE, CertEd, or DET)
- Experience delivering BTEC Computing or Data Science
- Industry experience in software development, IT, or data-related roles
- Knowledge of tools such as: SQL, Excel, Power BI, or similar
- Version control (e.g. Git)
- Experience working with 16-19 learners in an FE setting
