SALARY: Up to £37,075 per annum (plus potential Location Allowance £2,000 - £7,000)
JOB PURPOSE:
To support the delivery of high-quality electrical apprenticeship training through a dual role combining workshop management and practical training, preparing learners for AM2S end-point assessment and industry readiness.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain a safe, organised and fully equipped workshop environment
- Prepare materials, tools and training bays for practical sessions
- Deliver AM2S preparation sessions and practical training
- Provide one-to-one and group coaching to support apprentice development
- Assess learner performance and identify skills gaps
- Provide clear, constructive feedback to support progress
- Promote high standards of behaviour, attendance and professionalism
- Embed safeguarding, health & safety, equality and employability skills into training
- Maintain workshop tools, equipment and compliance standards
- Work collaboratively with tutors and training staff
- Maintain accurate records of training activity and workshop resources
- Keep technical knowledge up to date through CPD
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Essential:
- Level 3 qualification in Electrical Installation (or equivalent)
- BS 7671 Wiring Regulations qualification
- Inspection and Testing qualification (2391 or equivalent)
- Relevant post-qualification industry experience
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Practical maintenance skills within electrical environments
