I am currently working in partnership with a leading Further Education College to recruit an experienced Inclusive Learning Manager. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced SEND professional, SENDCO, Inclusive Learning Manager or specialist educational leader looking to take the next step in their career and influence inclusive practice across a large and diverse college environment.

The successful candidate will play a key role in leading Inclusive Learning provision, ensuring students with SEND receive outstanding support whilst driving quality improvement, compliance and staff development across the organisation.

The Opportunity

This position offers a genuine opportunity to shape and develop inclusive practice across multiple curriculum areas, working closely with senior leaders, curriculum teams and external stakeholders to improve outcomes for learners with SEND. Unlike many school-based SENDCO roles, this post allows you to focus on strategic leadership, quality assurance and service development rather than balancing these responsibilities alongside a significant teaching timetable. You will be responsible for leading Inclusive Learning teams, developing staff capability, monitoring learner outcomes and ensuring provision remains compliant, impactful and student‑centred.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage Inclusive Learning teams across the college.
  • Drive quality improvement and embed best practice in SEND support.
  • Coach and develop staff to strengthen inclusive teaching and learning.
  • Oversee EHCP consultations, learner support plans and intervention strategies.
  • Monitor attendance, achievement, progress and engagement of learners with SEND.
  • Ensure compliance with SEND legislation, JCQ regulations and funding requirements.
  • Use performance data to identify trends, improve provision and measure impact.
  • Contribute to self‑assessment, quality improvement planning and Ofsted readiness.
  • Build effective partnerships with curriculum leaders, parents, local authorities and external agencies.

What We're Looking For

To be considered for this role, you will ideally have:

  • A Level 5 Teaching Qualification and/or National SENDCO Award.
  • Significant experience supporting learners with SEND or High Needs.
  • Experience leading, managing or developing teams.
  • Strong knowledge of SEND legislation, EHCP processes and inclusive practice.
  • Experience of quality assurance, compliance and continuous improvement.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • The ability to analyse data and use evidence to drive improvements in learner outcomes.
  • A passion for creating inclusive environments where every learner can succeed.

What's on Offer?

  • 35 days annual leave plus bank holidays and college closure days.
  • Excellent pension scheme.
  • Ongoing CPD and professional development opportunities.
  • The opportunity to influence SEND strategy and inclusive practice across the college.
  • A supportive leadership team committed to staff development and wellbeing.
  • Greater flexibility and work‑life balance than many comparable school‑based leadership positions.
