Health & Safety Coordinator

About the Role
A further education provider is looking for a Health & Safety Coordinator to help coordinate its health and safety activity across the organisation. You'll keep records, checks and reporting on track, and support colleagues at all levels in meeting their health and safety responsibilities.
It's a role where attention to detail matters, and where you'll play a practical part in maintaining a consistent, positive safety culture.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Coordinating day-to-day health and safety activity across the organisation.
- Maintaining accurate health and safety records, documentation and systems.
- Supporting risk assessments, routine checks and incident reporting.
- Coordinating audits and following up on actions through to completion.
- Liaising with staff, learners and external contacts by email, phone and in person.
- Supporting health and safety training and induction arrangements.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- A good working knowledge of health and safety practice in a workplace setting
- Strong administrative, record-keeping and organisational skills
- Confident communication with colleagues at all levels
Desirable (but not essential):
- A recognised health and safety qualification
- Experience of working in an education or large multi-site organisation
