An FE College group on the Hampshire Coast is seeking a General Engineering Lecturer to deliver core technical training and support learners developing engineering and manufacturing skills.
The Role:
- Teach and assess students across classroom, tutorial, and practical engineering environments.
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons covering mechanical, electrical, or manufacturing engineering fundamentals.
- Act as a Personal Tutor, offering academic guidance, pastoral support, and tracking overall student achievement.
- Support wider college initiatives, including employer engagement, student placements, and open recruitment events.
- Contribute to course design, quality assurance reviews, and the development of schemes of work.
Requirements:
- Relevant engineering qualification (degree and/or extensive professional industry experience).
- Solid industry background in general engineering, manufacturing, mechanical, or electrical fields.
- Recognised teaching qualification, or a willingness to work towards one fully supported by the college.
- Strong organisational, communication, and collaborative teamwork skills.
