I'm currently supporting a fantastic organisation looking to bring on a Financial Operations Manager to join their supportive Finance team. A great opportunity for someone who enjoys a varied leadership role across financial operations, systems, and team management.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead the Financial Operations team
  • Oversee purchase ledger, sales ledger, credit control payroll
  • Manage month-end processes (reconciliations, journals, reporting)
  • Support management accounts and financial reporting
  • Monitor KPIs (debtors, creditors, cashflow)
  • Act as key contact for banking treasury
  • Manage and improve finance systems (Open Accounts EBIS)
  • Support audits and statutory reporting
  • Oversee payroll, pensions, VAT returns
  • Drive process improvements and efficiency

What we're looking for:

  • Qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ICAEW/CIPFA) or equivalent experience
  • Strong background in transactional finance
  • Proven team management experience
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong systems and analytical skills
  • Confident communicator with stakeholders
  • Proactive, organised, and team-focused
  • Education/public sector experience (desirable)
