Full Time Permanent Private Training Provider
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum
Location: Ideally based near Bovington, Warminster, or Tidworth. Your main base will be the site closest to you, with paid travel to the other campuses as required.
The Role
We are seeking an experienced Engineering Operative Assessor to deliver high-quality apprenticeship training within the Engineering Operative pathway. This is a fantastic opportunity to support and develop apprentices! This role would be perfect for an ex-military professional, particularly someone with experience in vehicle or platform user-level maintenance. While military experience is not essential, we highly value strong engineering backgrounds.
We are especially keen to hear from individuals who have served in the:
- Royal Logistic Corps (RLC)
- Royal Armoured Corps (RAC)
- Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (REME)
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality training programmes aligned to the Engineering Operative Apprenticeship Standard
- Manage individual apprentice caseloads, including learning, assessment, reviews, and timely completions
- Support apprentices throughout their full journey, from onboarding to Gateway and End-Point Assessment
- Prepare apprentices for Gateway (Standards Apprenticeships)
- Provide constructive, professional, and meaningful feedback to support development and achievement
- Ensure all activity meets or exceeds required quality and compliance standards
About You
You will be an experienced engineering professional who is passionate about developing others.
Essential:
- Minimum Level 2 qualification in Engineering Operative Maintenance
- Experienced mechanical fitter with a broad understanding of the engineering trade
- Strong practical engineering experience
- Ability to engage, motivate, and support learners
Don't hold assessor or IQA qualifications yet? No problem - we will fund the right candidate through these qualifications.
Salary & Benefits
Salary between £30,000 - £35,000, depending on qualifications and experience
- 25 days annual leave + 8 Bank holidays, annual leave rises every year after 1 year of service
- Aviva Pension Scheme
- Top end of the salary range available to candidates holding both Assessor and IQA qualifications
- Paid travel between campuses
