A leading national training provider is seeking a Digital Learning Designer to play a key role in shaping engaging, accessible, and future-ready online learning experiences. The Role:

  • You'll be responsible for designing and developing digital learning content across a range of platforms, working closely with subject matter experts and internal teams to create innovative, learner-focused resources.
  • You'll manage content through the Learning Management System (Moodle Workplace) and help drive forward a progressive digital learning strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and storyboard digital learning resources aligned with curriculum and accessibility standards.
  • Develop multimedia content using tools like Articulate Storyline, Rise, Evolve, H5P, and Adobe Creative Cloud.
  • Upload and maintain content in the LMS (Moodle Workplace), ensuring version control and quality.
  • Apply quality assurance and continuous improvement processes to enhance the learner experience.
  • Support tutors and colleagues in creating digital materials and using platform features.
  • Stay current with trends in digital learning, AI, gamification, and immersive technologies.
  • Maintain up-to-date records, documentation, and ensure compliance with accessibility and internal standards.

What We're Looking For:

  • Degree-level education (or equivalent).
  • Minimum 5 GCSEs (A-C / 9-4) including Maths and English.
  • Proven experience designing digital learning in a professional context.
  • Proficiency in authoring tools (e.g. Articulate, Evolve, Rise).
  • Confident in LMS content management (preferably Moodle).
  • Comfortable with media tools (e.g. Camtasia, Descript, Adobe CC).
  • Understanding of accessibility guidelines and eLearning best practices.
  • Strong attention to detail and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork.

Desirable:

  • Experience in vocational education or apprenticeships.
  • HTML/CSS/JavaScript knowledge.
  • Familiarity with SCORM, xAPI, or learning analytics.
  • Interest in podcasting or immersive media.
  • Professional accreditation such as CDLP or CMALT.
