We are seeking an experienced and passionate Course Leader and Senior Lecturer in Coaching & Performance Management to join a forward‑thinking Higher Education provider in London. The role involves shaping and leading an innovative, industry‑aligned programme focused on performance and esports.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategic and operational management of the Coaching & Performance Management programmes.
  • Deliver engaging and high‑quality teaching across coaching, performance management, athlete development, psychology, analytics, and related subjects.
  • Develop innovative, industry‑aligned curriculum content and applied learning opportunities.
  • Supervise student projects, applied coaching practice, and performance analysis work.
  • Ensure compliance with academic regulations, quality assurance processes, and external benchmarks.
  • Lead programme reviews, validation activities, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support student engagement, retention, progression, and employability outcomes.
  • Build strong relationships with coaching organisations, esports and sport clubs, analytics providers, and industry professionals.
  • Lead programme team meetings and coordinate academic delivery across the programme area.
  • Coach, mentor, and support the professional development of academic staff.
  • Contribute to research, scholarly activity, and industry‑focused projects relevant to coaching and performance management.
  • Represent the programme at recruitment events, open days, and external engagement activities.

Essential Requirements

  • Proven programme leadership experience within Higher Education or a professional training environment.
  • Strong academic or professional background in coaching, performance management, sport science, esports performance, psychology, or related disciplines.
  • Experience teaching within Higher Education or equivalent environments.
  • Understanding of curriculum design, assessment practices, and academic quality assurance.
  • Experience leading or coordinating academic delivery or applied practice teams.
  • Strong communication, organisational, and leadership skills.
  • Commitment to inclusive teaching and delivering an exceptional student experience.
  • Ability to coach, mentor, and develop staff members.

Desirable Requirements

  • Master's degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience working within OfS regulated environments or HE quality frameworks.
  • Industry experience in coaching, athlete development, performance analysis, or applied performance settings.
  • Experience supervising applied projects or reflective portfolios.
  • Familiarity with performance analysis software, coaching platforms, or data analytics tools.
