An established Further Education provider is looking for a Construction Instructor to support the delivery of practical learning within its Construction and Building Services department. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain construction workshops for practical teaching sessions
- Ensure workshops are fully equipped, organised and ready for delivery
- Support students during practical activities and independent study sessions
- Assist learners both in the presence and absence of teaching staff
- Maintain a safe, clean and professional learning environment
- Monitor learner behaviour and ensure compliance with college standards
- Support the delivery of high-quality vocational training across construction disciplines
- Liaise with teaching staff and managers regarding equipment, resources and workshop requirements
What We're Looking For
- Construction industry experience within a trade area such as Carpentry, Brickwork, Plumbing, Multi-Skills or Property Maintenance
- Practical workshop experience and strong health safety awareness
- Ability to support and motivate learners
- Good organisational and communication skills
- Experience working with young people or apprentices would be advantageous
- A proactive approach and ability to work independently
