We are seeking a high-calibre Lecturer in Computing to join a dynamic team of industry professionals at a premier Further Education provider. This is an opportunity to transform your industry expertise into a production engine for the next generation of technical talent.

You will be integrated into a dedicated team of 20 lecturing staff who uphold high expectations and work collaboratively to ensure delivery aligns with national skills demands.

Role Responsibilities

  • High-Velocity Delivery: Deliver engaging BTEC qualifications from Level 1 through to Level 5, including high-stakes T Level Digital support and Higher Technical Qualifications (HTQs).
  • Pedagogical Precision: Plan and execute learning activities that foster independence and technical autonomy, ensuring every student meets rigorous curriculum requirements.
  • Industry Alignment: Continuously develop resources and employer partnerships to ensure the Computing and Games provision remains at the cutting edge of industry standards.
  • Quality Assurance: Manage the end-to-end assessment cycle, producing accurate data to contribute to the organisation's high-quality standards.

Essential Requirements

  • Technical Authority: Extensive industry experience in Computing or a related technical discipline.
  • Qualifications: A relevant Level 3 (or higher) qualification and a teaching qualification (Cert Ed, PGCE, or PTTLS).
  • Commitment to Growth: If not already qualified, you must be willing to work towards a teaching qualification with full institutional support.
  • Operational Excellence: Strong communication, organisational skills, and a commercially minded approach to education.
