We are seeking a motivated and skilled Workshop Engineering Tutor to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis at our Aldridge site. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone from the mechanical engineering industry who is looking to move into education and training, with full support provided.

The Role

  • Deliver a range of machining, milling and turning units, combining practical workshop-based teaching with underpinning theory.
  • Teaching will be to Level 1-3 learners and apprentices, helping them develop the skills and knowledge required for successful careers in engineering.
  • Delivering hands-on workshop sessions in machining, milling and turning.
  • Teaching associated theory to Level 1-3 learners and apprentices.
  • Ensuring high standards of health & safety and workshop practice.
  • Supporting learners' progress and achievement.

Who We’re Looking For

  • Level 3 qualification in Engineering (essential - no higher qualification required).
  • Relevant, current experience in the mechanical engineering industry.
  • Confidence working in a workshop environment.
  • A desire to train, mentor and develop future engineers.
  • No teaching experience is required - we welcome applications from industry professionals looking to transition into education.

Salary & Benefits

  • Β£29,000 - Β£29,500 starting salary for candidates straight from industry.
  • Salary increases once teaching and assessing qualifications are achieved.
  • 25 days annual leave, plus 8 bank holidays.
