Tutor of Chemistry

Location: Yorkshire

Salary: Up to £43,408 per annum (£44,875 with ATS)

Contract: Full-Time, Permanent (37 hours per week)

Start Date: August / September 2026

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented and passionate Chemistry specialist to join a highly successful Science department at one of Yorkshire's leading Further Education colleges. This role offers the opportunity to teach A Level Chemistry. You will become part of a collaborative team of subject specialists dedicated to delivering outstanding teaching and supporting learners to achieve exceptional outcomes.

The Role

  • Deliver high-quality Chemistry teaching across a range of programmes
  • Support learners to achieve outstanding academic outcomes and progression opportunities
  • Develop engaging and innovative learning resources
  • Monitor learner progress and provide effective feedback and intervention
  • Contribute to curriculum development and departmental success
  • Support students progressing to university, apprenticeships, and STEM careers

About You

  • Hold a degree in Chemistry or a closely related subject
  • Have a recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, or equivalent), or are willing to work towards one
  • Possess strong subject knowledge and a passion for Chemistry
  • Are committed to delivering an exceptional learner experience
  • Can inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential
