Are you an experienced plumber who would enjoy supporting learners in a busy workshop environment?
About the Role
You'll join a further education provider as a Plumbing Technician, making sure practical sessions run smoothly, safely and on time. You'll prepare the workshop, the tools and the materials so that teaching staff and learners can get straight to work.
You'll also work alongside lecturers during practical sessions, helping learners use equipment correctly and keeping health and safety standards high throughout.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing workshop areas, tools and materials ahead of practical teaching sessions and demonstrations.
- Maintaining, servicing and repairing workshop equipment across the training areas.
- Supporting teaching staff during practical sessions and assisting learners.
- Upholding health and safety standards in all workshop and training areas.
- Managing stock levels so that materials and tools are available when they are needed.
What We're Looking For
- A relevant vocational qualification in plumbing or a construction-related trade
- Demonstrable practical skills and strong knowledge of industry-standard tools, equipment and materials
- Good organisational, communication and administrative skills
- The ability to work on your own initiative
Desirable (but not essential):
- Previous technical experience within a further education or training environment
